Unloading from wind turbines ship in Montoir
The port of Montoir was selected for the unloading of 6 wind turbines from Germany.
On 11 June, the M/V Scharhorn berthed at the general cargo and container terminal (TMDC) to unload 6 nacelles, 6 hubs, 18 blades and 3 containers of machine parts. A total of 637 tons were unloaded from the ship. The weight of the nacelles (60 tons), meant these had to be handled using the container gantry crane.
The terminal proved perfectly suited for receiving this type of equipment due to its quayside lifting and storage facilities.
°SDV OPE / LMI co-ordinated the port operations carried out by Cogemar Montoir (handling and ship consignment) and final delivery to the Gueltas wind farm at Noyal - Pontivy (56).
