Aquitaine:
The Aquitaine is France's third region as regards the aeronautic and space
industry. Furthermore it joined forces with the Midi-Pyrénées region to
create the "aerospace valley" on the outskirts of Garonne, Europe's leading
aeronautic and space centre.
The foothold of leading companies combined with the availability of big open
spaces, have led the region to receive a number of test sites.
The region's other undeniable asset is wine production. Indeed, it houses the
world's leading vineyard, with 116,000 hectares with a guarantee of origin for
118,000 hectares of vineyards.
