Alsace:
Situated between Paris and East bloc
countries, Alsace is one of the leading French regions thanks to its GDP per
inhabitant and is also the country's 1st exporting region per
inhabitant.
Alsace is an integral part of the
"Great European Dorsal" which goes from London to Milan via Frankfort. It
is thus located at the heart of a market comprising several million
consumers. Furthermore, the presence of Strasbourg, France's second
diplomatic town, contributes to giving the region an international dimension, a
region which is already particularly appealing for investors from around the
world.
Another strong point of the region:
tourism. Indeed, with its leisure activities and the development of
natural or historic sites, this activity holds a by no means insignificant place
in local economy. Furthermore, its universities are renowned and attract
students from different horizons. Alsace is a region of multiple
nationalities.
°
Mulhouse At the crossroads of Germany, Switzerland and France,
Mulhouse is situated at the heart of one of the world's biggest markets which
concentrates 60% of the European Union population, 75% of its purchasing power
and 50% of its industrial and tertiary jobs.

Strasbourg Situated between the British
Isles and the north of Italy on the one hand, Scandinavia and the Iberian
Peninsula on the other, Strasbourg is a genuine European capital city.
France's second diplomatic town, it is today the headquarters for the Council of
Europe and the European parliament and receives no less than 75 diplomatic
representations and consulates. This Europeanization is reinforced by the
presence of an international airport which handled more than 700 tones of
freight and received more than 2 million passengers in 2003.
