Up to the polar colds…
As part of the partnership with the CNRS, our teams in Annecy (France) handle the transports of the Damocles European scientific program equipments. Damocles was set up to observe, understand and quantify the climatic changes in the Arctic so as to help taking measures about the global warming. Thus, the 26 cbm of specialised equipment were transported by airfreight to Resolute Bay at the extreme North of Canada, via Montreal. To reach the experimentation location, the equipment was then loaded on board a twinotter plane landing on ice. After a two-month time experimentation, equipment was sent back to France and is getting prepared, after being gauged, to leave for Nome in the Bering Strait in Alaska.
